Oral AcademyArchbishop Ryan school was founded and continues to exist today to provide deaf and hard of hearing students with an oral opportunity to increase listening skills and to learn to talk in a religious environment that nurtures self-confidence and self-esteem. Throughout the education in this academy, students develop speech skills as they learn appropriate content following the regular education curriculum of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The development of speaking, reading and written language skills form an important basis for this complete education. |
